This Allowance Sheet should help with your selections. It will tell you how to choose, how much money is allowed, and the order of importance. You may select items at other places, but you will have to have them delivered to the construction site.

BRICK: You can make this selection from samples in our Model Homes, Clay Structures Brick, or choose from the existing Homes in our subdivision. We will need to know as soon as construction is started.
FIREPLACES: We will assume they will be the same brick as your exterior, unless we are told different at the start of construction. Stone fireplaces & fireplaces to ceiling are considered an upgrade.
PLUMBING: Selections must be made before your Home is framed. Your selection can be made from our Model Homes, Charles Walker, or Plumbing Contractor.

PAINT & STAIN: Color Selections can be made at Sherwin Williams, Sales Office, or Model Homes.

FLOOR TILE: Select from Model Homes, Sales Office, Home Depot or Lowe’s in Mesquite. We allow $1.40 per square foot. This must be done before your Home is painted. Wall tile in shower stalls and around tubs in secondary baths is specified to be 12 inch to compliment floor tile.
COUNTER TOPS: Select from samples in Model Homes, Office in Mesquite or Verona Marble, 4879 Olson Dr, Dallas, TX 75227, (214) 381-8405, Gloria or Lupe – contact person. Backsplash $5.00 per sq. ft. – includes any decorative. This should be done at the same time you pick your floor tile. (See selection information below)

FRONT DOORS: Select from the pamphlet in Sales Office or from other Homes in subdivision.
Note: We highly recommend Metal or Fiberglass Doors. We are unable to warranty Wooden Doors. We don’t recommend Exterior Passage Doors to Garages.
APPLIANCES: We use Whirlpool, unless we are told different. Choose white, black or stainless. We allow $2700.00 for cook top, oven, microwave, vent-a-hood and dishwasher. (Please note that cabinets are built to size for “Whirlpool Specifications”).
CARPET: $15.00 per yard, select from samples in Sales Office, All About Floors (214) 500-2174, 6491 FM 741, Forney, TX – please inform them when you go in that you are a Security Custom Homes Customer, (Contact our office in Mesquite on carpet floor selection (972) 329-9600).
CABINET HARDWARE (If desired): If you select something other than what is in our Model Homes, we will give you the quantity and you must make the purchase & deliver to the job site. We allow $1.50 per knob or pull.
Any specialized item such as; fixtures, wallpaper, address blocks, hardware, etc., must be selected, purchased, and delivered to the job site. At the time of closing, Security Custom Homes will give you a credit for the money you have spent on these items. Large additions such as wood floors, additional garages, room modifications, etc., need to be paid for at the time of ordering or possibly by increasing earnest money. You will be invoiced at closing for small additions or changes made after your sales contract is signed. For Customer & Builder protection, we ask that you please put additions and changes in writing and submit them to the Sales Office.
